The one thing I’d really like to see improved is how accessible the laundry and parcel area is.

The WiFi is better, and most of the time it’s fine, but it can only just manage a YouTube video in 1080p. Honestly, though, a lot of the time the connection is really poor. It would also be great if they were a bit stricter about safety, like reminding people not to leave shoes in the hallway by the stairs 😂

There aren’t any laundry facilities in our building, and I really wish there were.

Parking feels like a huge problem. I also never get a notification when my mail arrives, so I end up dealing with that hassle a lot. The biggest issue for me is that my building doesn’t have washers. So I have to carry a heavy laundry bag to another place to wash, since it’s for two people, and then I’m back and forth all the time just to get it done.

If I had to change one thing, it would be the way they deal with parcels. Every time I try to pick one up, I’m told they don’t have it or they can’t locate it. Then I check again a couple of days later and suddenly it’s there, and they hand it over like it was never missing at all. The bigger problem seems to be how parcels are being stored. They’re not organized properly, so the staff can’t find them when residents come to collect.

The main thing I’d change about my current accommodation is the location of the reception. I think it should be brought closer, or even made part of the accommodation itself. Right now, in an emergency or when we have deliveries, we have to walk from the main accommodation to the reception to collect everything. If the delivery is really big, you also need to get someone to help you, because the distance makes it a bit of a hassle. I’d also improve the staff response a little, even though we do get replies. Overall though, I genuinely love my accommodation. It’s really quiet, and the tenants here are friendly and honest. Everyone is just straightforward, and that’s a big plus. We also get quick responses from the team whenever we need something. If I had to pick one more improvement, it would be the key system. Instead of giving one key per student, I would suggest having two keys, maybe one for each student. The current setup makes us feel more responsible, since we’re paying up to six pounds for the key deposit, but sometimes people forget things and then it becomes a problem. So for me, the distance to reception and the key arrangement are the main things I’d improve.

I really wish it had its own PO box so parcels could be delivered when the office is closed, even though it’s just down the street.

I’d want to get the water pressure sorted in my shower, and also fix the space in the freezer.
