“I can hear everything that’s happening out in the hallway, and the front door slams every time someone comes in or goes out. Sometimes it’s so forceful that the whole building feels like it shakes. The door to my apartment also has a big gap near the bottom, and honestly the door itself feels really flimsy. So the noise carries both ways, and if someone is standing outside, they can hear what’s going on inside my apartment too. On top of that, there’s always a cold draft coming from the hallway, especially when people open the main front door to the building. That was a serious problem during the cold winter. And I’ve also had silverfish in here, mostly in the bathroom. When I reported it, I was basically told that I just have to live with it.”
