> Overall, it can be really hard, especially when you’re coming from somewhere smaller like I did. I was used to having close friends and family around, and then suddenly moving to a huge city where I honestly didn’t know anyone. That said, I did end up meeting a lot of friends online, and it’s been a big help. I get along really well with people on my course and in my accommodation, so I’m not feeling alone. I still call my friends and family back home pretty often, but after a while I’m finally at a point where I feel happy, confident, and comfortable in social situations. :)
