“The study area has a nicer table and a chair. They also give you some freedom to decorate the walls. The lighting is warm instead of cold. And there’s more room in the fridge.”

“Please bring the price down and make sure visitors have to register. Since the accommodation costs so much, the university should also offer more events or discounts when we are buying things at the school.”

“Better quality washing machines”

“When we first moved in, the place didn’t feel very clean. We found mould in both the bathroom and the bedroom.”

“The noise level felt okay, and the cleaning was done properly. I also really appreciated how they respect quiet time and the resting hours.”

“The heating and the sewer seem to mess up all the time, like seriously, constantly.”

“The kitchen should have been set up properly. If the place was meant for 6 people staying there for a full year, then there should have been 6 plates, 6 bowls, and 6 sets of cutlery. Asking everyone to buy their own for the year is just incredibly wasteful and not sustainable. It also creates division, since people end up with duplicates. We ended up with 6 frying pans, 6 bottles of dish soap, and 6 cutting boards because people went and bought what they needed without coordinating with anyone else, and now they only use their own stuff. It was awful to show up and not even be able to eat a ready meal because there was no fork. And honestly, 4 pots does not count as having a kitchen. At the very least, if the university is not willing to provide these basic items, then they should have had the students from the previous year donate what they could. Most of the students here are international, and they are not going to pack dishes and bring them home after the year is over.”
