“The radiators are much better since they don’t seem to put out much heat at all. And the insulation around the windows and doors isn’t great either, because lots of cold air gets in, so the rooms stay freezing.”

“It feels more social, like you’re mixing with other people, other flats, and joining in on the events they run.”
“Mostly it’s the security that I’m focused on, but everything else has been really good.”
“A nice open seating space for hanging out with friends”
“My parking permit for the year got cut in half, but I still have to pay extra to park on campus, even though I’m already paying to park here. The problem is I don’t qualify for any other permit, so I end up paying more just to use my car on campus.”
“The Wi-Fi isn’t always reliable, it drops out in certain areas of the accommodation and even in the room.”
“The building’s overall look really stood out to me.”
“The heating system. In the winter, everyone, including me, was really cold, and switching the heating off when it was -5 degrees just didn’t make sense. You can also tell that the chill is getting in through the windows even when they’re shut properly. It’s really annoying, and last winter I ended up using cellotape to block some of the cold from coming through.”
“The doors are ridiculously loud when they shut. It ends up waking me up in the morning if someone gets out of their room.”
“I think they should have more washing and laundry machines. It would also be nice if it was a little cheaper to use everything. I keep a drying rack in my room so I can save money by not using the dryer all the time. It’s also a bit of a letdown that the communal space isn’t really used where I’m staying, because my flat would have to go outside just to get to it. And it’s a shame there’s no pool table in the communal area either. If you want to play pool, you have to go into town and pay.”
