Graduate College (rooms with shared bathrooms)

“It would be a bit easier if Graduate College had a laundromat nearby.”

“The beds aren’t great. I’d really prefer a bigger and wider bed so there’s more usable space instead of taking up the floor area. Also, I wish there was more storage. The shower looks outdated, and you can’t adjust or move the shower head. The flatmates aren’t very clean, and it definitely affects how comfortable the kitchen is to use.”

“It’s completely fine as it is. There’s really nothing that needs fixing.”

“I’ve noticed that a few of my flatmates just don’t keep things clean or hygienic enough. Even after we’ve reminded them, they still don’t seem to reach the standard. For instance, in the shared kitchen area, they often leave the utensils dirty or untidy after they’re done cooking. Is there a way to give people a proper reminder or call them out when they clearly don’t care about basic shared hygiene?”

“The mattress is slowly messing with our backs.”

“The only thing I think could be improved is the shared flats. It would be really nice if there was more than just the kitchen. For example, having a communal area or a proper living room would make a big difference. Maybe even a small tea room where everyone could hang out, watch a movie, and spend time together. Right now, because the kitchen is basically the only shared space, it limits where you can actually socialize. It’s been great living here, and I’ve really enjoyed meeting the people and chatting with the ones I share the flat with. So overall, that’s the only change I’d suggest.”

“It would be really nice to set up some casual evenings so we can get to know our roommates.”

“I’d love to see more activities around the neighborhood to keep people involved, along with stronger services and fair treatment for everyone, no matter their race.”

“The laundry machines cost way too much.”
