“The staff were genuinely nicer, more supportive, and better at communicating. For instance, one of the team came into my room just a few seconds after knocking, even though I hadn't had time to respond, because they assumed I wasn't there. They could have simply emailed me to check instead of making that assumption.”

“There should be more room for social space that isn’t right in the entryway, and the freezer needs to be larger.”

“When I compare it to other studio apartments in Lincoln, this one feels really overpriced, and the space is very tight as well. A lot of what they list on the website just is not there in the actual rooms, like the heated towel rail. Why put that online if none of the rooms have it? On top of that, the laundry setup is a joke. The laundry room only has two washing machines, which is honestly ridiculous given how many residents there are across Student Castle. There’s also no proper parcel system. Everything is just left on the floor, and we are expected to hunt around for our own names. What happens if someone grabs the wrong parcel? And to make it worse, you do not get any notification when a parcel arrives and is ready for collection.”

“The wristbands could use a choice of materials, or there could be an alternative, because I’m allergic to them. I wore it once and ended up with an eczema flare-up.”

“The fridges in the shared kitchen are way too small. We ended up having to get an extra fridge just so everyone could store their food cold.”
