“We had to put in an elevator because coming in and out is such a hassle without one, especially for a small woman like me who doesn't have much muscle. The stuff is incredibly heavy, and I already have back issues.”

“Honestly, if I had to pick one thing I’d improve about this place, it would be the recycling. I get that there are lots of international students here, and not everyone separates their rubbish properly. I also understand the council has said that if the bins aren’t sorted correctly, students can end up getting fined. But I’ve lived in student accommodation with another company, on the other side of the road, and they manage recycling there even with international students too. So I’m not really sure why it can’t be handled in the same way here. That’s the main downside for me. The only real low point is that I can’t recycle properly, and it honestly makes me feel awful. It feels really bad. If there was a way to encourage people, I think it could help. For example, having clearer bins with smaller recycling sections and very obvious instructions, and only letting students who want to take part use them. Maybe even having a few student volunteers to check that everything is being sorted correctly. Something like that would be my main improvement. But overall, thank you, because in lots of other ways it really is great.”

“The heater in this place feels a little outdated. I’d really suggest the management team checks it often and reviews it regularly, because a weak heating system can impact students’ health.”

“The staff are supposed to be on site all the time, since they advertise 24 hour security, but that doesn’t seem to be true all the time.”

“The rooms should be cleaned and properly maintained before guests check in. At least twice a month, cleaning service needs to be provided, or the vacuum cleaner should be high quality.”
