“Honestly, I don’t think the issue is really with the accommodation overall, like it might be the same story across a lot of student places. The main thing is that the walls are not very soundproof. You know what I mean. Even right now, if I’m speaking at this volume, I’m pretty sure the girl next door can hear me. It really feels like it messes with your privacy, like you’re basically not getting any privacy at all. I’m not sure if that made sense, but that’s how it feels. Also, I do think the Wi-Fi could be better. But overall, the room itself looks really nice. The aesthetics are great. I genuinely can’t see much that you need to improve. The only thing I was thinking about was the living room, but then I realized that putting up a CCTV camera would be a bad idea, so never mind. For the overall experience, I feel like a lot of the problems students run into come down to hygiene, usually because of other flatmates. Plus, some flats have kitchens where the stoves and other electronics are kind of unreliable. Sometimes the stove won’t work, sometimes the hub won’t turn on, and sometimes the oven just won’t switch on either. It happens occasionally. And the heaters in the living room also don’t work sometimes. So yeah, that’s basically it.”
