“The staff were really friendly and always willing to help students out when they needed it. They also knock before going into anyone’s room.”

“The kitchen items are really poor. The rooms are a bit on the small side and could use some improvement. Also, the price feels pretty high.”

“Make sure every resident gets the key information, since some emails about important updates seem to have been missed.”

“The bathroom has a detachable shower head, but the shower curtain hangs a little too close and keeps sticking to me.”

“I feel like it needs a lot more color. Right now it feels pretty plain and kind of dull. I think there should be more pictures and student artwork around the place, so it actually looks warm and lived-in, like a real home.”

“One thing I really want to highlight is the windows. It would be great to have more spacious windows that we can actually open, so there is plenty of fresh air and good ventilation. Also, there should be a lot more sockets. In the place right now, the number of electric outlets is really quite low, so having a charging port near the bed is a must. That’s the main improvement I think could be made. Other than that, everything is fine. It would just be nice to have a few more entertaining games as well.”

“I wish there was more responsibility for keeping the kitchen in good shape. I’ve raised this problem a bunch of times, and it feels like there isn’t any real fix unless we hire an outside cleaner, and then the whole flat has to cover the cost. There should be regular checkups to make sure everyone cleans up after themselves.”

“The bathroom fixtures really could be better and easier to use. The shower curtains that are supposed to separate the shower area from the rest of the bathroom don’t help much, because water still ends up splashing everywhere when I shower. In the kitchen, the sink taps are a terrible setup. You’ve got two separate taps, one for hot and one for cold, so the water ends up either extremely hot, and I’ve already been burned a couple of times, or extremely cold. The laundry setup also needs an upgrade. I can’t stress enough how important it is to have a gym in this place.”
