“Poor communication. The staff treat students with disrespect and use a belittling, condescending tone when reports are submitted about maintenance being needed. In our experience, the maintenance team is often really rude, especially towards women, and they take ages to sort things out. For example, our flat door would not lock, so anyone could get in for more than three weeks after we reported it. And to make it worse, that door is also a fire door. This was only one of many problems we had with maintenance and the accommodation, including a leak that went on for a month and an infestation of silverfish.”
