“Overall, my time at Beckley Point was really positive. The staff are both friendly and know what they’re doing. Whenever something goes wrong, the maintenance team sorts it out quickly, and they are clearly very hardworking. The whole place is kept clean and organized, and it always looks well maintained. Events are also promoted clearly, and the job alert board is genuinely helpful for students who want a part time role to support their studies. The only downside is that some room options do not feel like great value. The standard flats with shared facilities are quite small, so there isn’t much space to move around. The two bed flats and studios are a better size, but they do cost more.”

“I’d say what stands out most is the community vibe. The place itself feels a bit friendly, but I think it could be made even more welcoming.”

“We wanted light switches in the kitchen so we can turn the lights off whenever we feel like watching films on the TV.”

“I’d like the shared spaces in my place to be cleaned properly, not just left as they are. I also think the lift call-out service needs to be much better, especially when lifts are broken. On top of that, the security feels weak, since it’s basically just one person covering nights. The pipe issue has been an absolute nightmare too. Even when I report it, it seems like no one else does, and I can hear it all day across the building. And the shower temperature is all over the place, going from barely warm to scalding, and it keeps changing even when I try to adjust it. Honestly, the washing machines are disgusting, the prices are way too high, and the dryers don’t dry anything.”

“Honestly, I think the building would be a lot better if there were more washing machines and dryers. There are hundreds of rooms and tenants, so it feels like the laundry setup is stretched too thin. On top of that, the pipes and plumbing seem to cause issues fairly often, whether it’s loud noises or drainage that doesn’t work properly, so that part could definitely use some improvement too.”

“I’d love to see more group activities that guests can join so it’s easier to meet people and make friends right on site.”
