“The radiators are much better since they don’t seem to put out much heat at all. And the insulation around the windows and doors isn’t great either, because lots of cold air gets in, so the rooms stay freezing.”

“It feels more social, like you’re mixing with other people, other flats, and joining in on the events they run.”

“The heating system. In the winter, everyone, including me, was really cold, and switching the heating off when it was -5 degrees just didn’t make sense. You can also tell that the chill is getting in through the windows even when they’re shut properly. It’s really annoying, and last winter I ended up using cellotape to block some of the cold from coming through.”
