“The main issue is how far it is from the front door. I’m basically as far away from it as you can be anywhere in the building.”

“Honestly, I really feel like it should be shut down for a few months, maybe up to a year, then fully gutted, cleaned out, refinished, and reopened for students. There are areas with black mold, and we also had a ceiling section actually come down. On top of that, we dealt with cockroaches. And it’s a small maintenance team, so they’re basically trying to fix everything at once, and it’s not going well. If they could close it and take the time to go unit by unit, room by room, and properly handle the water damage, the mold, the cockroaches, and all the other random issues, I think it would make a huge difference. I even heard about some flats that didn’t have hot water for months. If they could pause everything and really sort it out, I genuinely think it could turn into a great place. The location is good too, it’s really close to town. The flat layouts are fine once you figure out how to live with your roommates. But there are just too many people, especially for the kitchen, and it’s honestly pretty discouraging to see how bad some parts of the flats end up looking.”
