“The common room is really tiny. If I had to change one thing, I would make it bigger, because for a student who is away from home, the biggest need is to feel settled and comfortable. For me, that comes from having good memories with people I already know. Most students spend their days in lectures, working on assignments, and studying in the library. But when they finally get back, they should be happy to walk into a space where they can see their friends. It should feel lively, like people are hanging out and chatting. I’d honestly forget my worries if I walked into a place like that. After all, humans are social by nature.”
