“Coming from a really rural area and then moving into a city has been a huge change. There are definitely some great parts, like being able to order whatever food I fancy and get it delivered, or having a local pub only a five minute walk from my front door. But it also has its downsides. The place is constantly bright, it feels a bit cold, and there is noise all the time. That said, it has been a bit easier since I brought my car to uni. It means I can get out to places like Ilkley, and I can also head back home when I need to. The accommodation itself has been really nice too. Being able to bring a few creature comforts with me and make the room feel like mine has made a big difference.”

“Honestly, I really wish the heating would just stay on, like it does when I’m at uni, or at least not shut off when I’m not in my room or when I’m asleep. I can’t keep getting up to press the button, and during the colder months it’s absolutely freezing. I’ve even woken up because I’m so cold, and I’m already sleeping in thick, fluffy pajamas with three blankets. It feels completely inhumane, especially since the heating still doesn’t even warm up properly. For the amount of money I’m paying, the heating should be a lot better.”
“The maintenance crew takes way too long to get things repaired.”
“Kitchen and hallway cleaners”
“Removed all the black mould and got rid of the silverfish.”
“The heating shuts off way too fast, and my room cools down almost immediately. Also, the hot water only gets up to about 38 degrees.”
