“I think the walls should be a bit taller so you do not keep bumping your head, and the carpet would really benefit from more frequent cleaning.”

“The maintenance crew takes forever to get back to issues. It’s been more than four weeks since the fridge broke.”

“The kitchen doesn’t seem to be kept clean, and in some of the kitchens the extractor fan doesn’t work properly. The fire alarm goes off pretty regularly in most weeks, and that usually means the boiler gets reset, so you don’t get hot water for a day or two after the alarm. There were also nights where the fire alarms went off at 2:00 am and again at 4:00 am, which was really stressful. On top of that, there was an incident where a rat was spotted on the ground floor, and it was also found in someone’s bedroom. A lot of the rooms have patches on the bathroom ceilings because of leaks, and they haven’t been repainted. Most of the door closers also aren’t tightened properly, so the doors slam, and the noise is another big drawback. The maintenance team used to come once a month for repairs, but they haven’t shown up for anything for the past couple of months. Even the outside of the building is often not clean. Communal areas were cleaned once a week before, but they haven’t been cleaned for the last 2 or 3 months. It also took several weeks of asking before they finally ordered a vacuum machine after the old one went missing. If they can find a way to fix these issues, it would be a nice place to live. It has a good view, and there aren’t many disturbances from traffic or other problems.”
