“Leuchars is a great spot for postgrad students who want a bit of peace and quiet. The buses to St Andrews and Dundee run really often, so getting around is easy. It’s also handy for catching the train to Edinburgh Airport. The house itself was in really good shape and felt properly insulated. The only downside is that there are not many shops in Leuchars, mostly just a Spar.”

Day to day, the facilities are practical and cover what you need. The management team is also reliable and quick to respond when anything comes up. Location-wise, the transport links are handy and make it easy to get to campus, and the area also feels safe.”

“I really wish we had the contact details for other folks who live around here, because it feels pretty lonely in Leuchars. It would also help a lot if the Army Base were better at letting people know when they’re doing drills, since it can be disruptive and honestly a bit unsettling at times.”
