> During the winter, we were told the mould in our room was “normal for British buildings,” and I know that isn’t true, coming from the UK. Because of that, we ended up needing the window open all the time, which made the room unbearably cold. It really messed with our ability to study and it affected our mental and physical wellbeing throughout the season. No real action was taken about the mould, except for cleaning it once it got really bad. The heating is controlled by the council, I think, so it turns on and off at times that just don’t help.
