> Just to add a bit of context, the place is a studio, so we are trying not to have the same feel you’d get in the main accommodation. Even though there isn’t really a community in our building, a lot of us still do not want that vibe. If I could change one thing, it would be swapping the convection oven for a regular oven. I’d also love a bigger freezer, because the freezer space we have is really small, which ends up making groceries cost more.

> Living in a place with studio flats, there really isn’t any shared space at all. Because of that, I don’t really get to know anyone in the building unless I run into them somewhere else on campus. It’s probably difficult to make communal areas work in a house that was designed for total separation between residents, but maybe hosting some house specific events in a proper college common area could make a difference. I think having something like that during freshers’ week would help people settle in. They did set up WhatsApp groups for each flat, but it didn’t seem to help much with communication. I’d rather talk to people face to face before I start chatting online.

> It would definitely be cheaper, and the bathroom really needs major improvements. The wet room is hard to clean, and honestly the quality feels quite poor.
