“There isn’t really any event here that shows a sense of community in the accommodation. I think I need to improve that by organizing activities so people can feel more connected, especially since we’re international students. It could be things like sharing experiences, learning about different cultures, or even life skills, and so on.”

“I wish the private bathrooms were a bit larger, mainly so the showers could have glass doors. That way, the shower area would feel less like it’s right up against you while you’re using it. Also, it would be great if they could do something to keep the temperature from getting so high during the summer. And the floors in the kitchen or common area really need attention. They are extremely dirty, like the grime has been ground into the surface, and the vacuuming could definitely be better.”

“They kind of made the gender balance fair. Last year it was 7 girls and 7, which was good, but this year it’s 4 girls and 10 boys.”

“Voll studentby er en skikkelig fin plass å bo når man er ny student. Det ligger veldig praktisk til, med kort vei både til Dragvoll og Gløs, samtidig som du fortsatt er nær naturen og byen. Jeg opplever miljøet som veldig trivelig, og fasilitetene er bra, som lesesal, kinorom, volleyballbane og eget loungerom. Selve rommene og fellesarealene i leiligheten er ikke det mest moderne, men de fungerer fint og dekker det man trenger. Kjøkkenet har god plass til oppbevaring, og det er et hyggelig sted å møtes og bli kjent med de man bor sammen med. I tillegg har Voll fått en egen app, så man kan både bli med på og sette i gang sosiale aktiviteter.”

“The winter semester price feels a little steep. I also believe the community could be a lot stronger if there were more meetups and events planned for everyone.”
