“The staff were super friendly and really helpful when I moved in. That said, the room was pretty filthy, and it was obvious the previous tenant had been smoking. The amenities are decent and everything is right at your doorstep. Prices and laundry costs are pretty high though.”

“I stayed in the halls of residence in my first year, and we had a kitchen cleaner come in once a week. I honestly think it would help if there was a kitchen cleaner at least around the time of the monthly kitchen inspections. It feels pointless trying to get my flatmates to clean the shared kitchen when they never actually do, and it is not fair that I end up clearing up after them.”

“If you can, it would be great to have some kind of door stop that keeps the doors from shutting too hard, so there’s less noise and fewer disruptions on every floor. Right now there’s no way to slow the door down as it closes, so you get a lot of loud door slams that end up shaking the floors below, which can be really distracting.”

“There have been a few events around the accommodation, like the pool tournament, and I honestly think they do a great job of bringing people together. It would be great to see more of that.”

“I feel like the washing machine has to be cleaned more regularly.”

“I really like the extra shared areas, like a better study room and a gym.”

“You can rest easy knowing your flatmates will tidy up after themselves and do their fair share to keep the shared spaces clean.”

“I think it would be great to add other kitchen appliances too, like a toastie maker or an air fryer. None of my flatmates bought one at first, but once we saw how handy it is, we ended up getting one.”

“Lower the price, or offer plans for people who only need it for a shorter time.”
