“It could really use a refresh or a new design, because right now it looks pretty outdated.”

“For the room to feel properly cleaned, they need to swap out the toilet seat, get in a new and better mattress, and really clean the carpets. Also, other residents should make sure doors are closed gently instead of letting them slam. Those are the five things I’m aware of, and honestly they’re all just as important.”

“We feel like we’re treated differently since we’re so far from the university and the other places to stay. We don’t get the same level of support because we have landlords who are outside the university, not the uni itself.”

“The internet really needs to be quicker and more reliable across the whole place. Also, the plug sockets are in a really awkward spot. It would be great to have an oven too, since I don't have one.”

“It feels neat and cozy, and it’s priced at something reasonable and fair.”

“I made sure the room met the standard. The peeling paint was taken care of, the scuffs on the walls were cleaned up, and any holes in the walls were fixed. When it came to applying, the accommodation asked for your personality and traits. If they actually use that information to match people with similar interests, that would be great. If not, I’d suggest removing that section.”

“I wanted the room to look more inviting so I could actually move in. But there were no photos of my accommodation online, and the pictures I did find were for a different place. My room has peeling paint, stains on the carpet, and mold in the bathroom.”
