“In CODE accommodation there’s a laundrette, but you have to pay for washing using the “Circuit” app. With how much money we already have to fork out for rent just to live there, it feels like the laundry should be free. As students, rent is already expensive enough, and having to pay £2.60 or more for a single wash is really hard to justify. If you only do two washes, that’s basically close to £6, which adds up fast. Ideally, the washing machines should be included in the rent, so we’re not paying extra just to clean our clothes on top of already living here, because it genuinely feels like a rip off.”
