It feels like the soundproofing could be better.

There should be more greenery around campus.

I’m in a flat that’s for girls only, and the maintenance inspections are done by male staff without warning. The email time window they give is really broad and unclear, and it can stretch out for more than a week. If they had female staff for the girls-only policy, it would feel a lot more comfortable.

I wish the soundproofing was a bit better, so people in the apartments don’t end up partying way into the night.

Honestly, I don’t have any complaints at all, since my main worry was security, and I’m fully satisfied with how safe everything feels.

The only real thing I’d change is the drainage in the shower. That’s genuinely the only issue I have. I don’t know if it’s something that affects everyone, but in my shower it just doesn’t drain properly. All the dead skin you scrub off builds up around the drain. It never clears away, so when I’m showering it ends up looking like there’s basically a pool of water in there, and I really don’t like that. I know it’s a wet room style bathroom, but I’m still a bit uncomfortable with it because I’m worried it could end up flooding or something. On top of that, there isn’t great ventilation in the shower either. I’m not too bothered about these things day to day, though. It was annoying when I first moved in, but I’ve gotten used to it now, so it’s fine. I also wish I had a newer chair, because the one I’ve got is really old and cracked. Other than that, everything else is pretty minor. Most of the things I’ve just learned to live with. I think the issues are mainly specific to my room, not the accommodation overall.

The spot itself and the shared hangout areas

Outside my room it gets a little loud since it’s right across from a restaurant. I’d also rather have a double bed for when I have guests staying over. Other than that, it’s pretty good. 😊

The shared common area, the game facilities, plus a few more music events, and outdoor activities like cricket or similar games.

The place is nice, but the heating could be a bit warmer, and the kitchen table needs to be bigger because it gets really crowded once everyone gathers in there. I’m also still not fully comfortable with the fire alarm testing. It keeps throwing me off, since I can’t tell right away if it’s a drill, an actual test, or something real. I think they should announce it before any drill or testing, so everyone knows it’s happening and not an emergency.
