“Staying here has honestly been amazing. I’ve met some great people, made new friends, and formed connections I never even knew I would have before university. The reception team has been brilliant too. They always checked in on me, kept me updated about how to sort out a place for next year, and made sure I felt really welcomed. It’s created a real sense of community, and that’s what’s made me love the whole experience.”

“The rooms really need updating since they’re pretty old.”

“There are quite a few mice around the kitchens in the whole place. On top of that, things like the TVs and lights don’t work, and you’re not allowed to have them fixed or replaced.”

“The ventilation is better, since it tends to get mould pretty easily.”

“The furniture is newer, and the internet and Ethernet ports are working properly now.”

“It’s a good place for basic student living. It has the essentials and the right amenities, but there have been some issues with the facilities. A few of my friends have run into the same problems, especially with the showers and the kitchen. On the plus side, there’s a really nice sense of community, and the flats have a mix of smaller and bigger spaces that make it easy to invite friends over. Overall, I don’t regret living here. The bedrooms are on the small side, but they still have enough space to live comfortably. The staff are great too.”

“I just wanted to double check that everything is properly sorted before I moved in. For instance, my wardrobe door wasn’t fitted on correctly.”

“Maybe to help it look more visually appealing”

“Maintenance has been a real problem for me. My bedroom flooded for about a week because nobody was coming out to fix the toilet, and when someone finally did show up, he didn’t seem to know how to fix it. I explained the issue to them, and I basically got ignored. On top of that, there’s mould in both my bedroom and the bathrooms, and with my flatmates too. It’s only ever painted over instead of being properly dealt with, so it keeps coming back. Also, maintenance requests rarely get answered unless you go straight to reception. Then they tell you not to come to reception because they don’t want to hear it. And the fridge and freezer are way too small for four people, which ends up causing arguments.”

“So it looks more up to date and I don’t run into as many problems with the appliances.”
