“1. I needed proper soundproofing to stop the noise from the upstairs occupants from carrying down to the ground floor. Even their regular walking can create a lot of noise, and it really affects the people downstairs. 2. I’m in G 04 at 24 Claremont Place, right next to the building’s back door. Sometimes people smoke there, or they just stand around doing nothing, and every time it happens I have to close my window early and pull the curtain closed. Most of the time I do it to avoid eye contact with people outside my window, or with drivers passing by in the street. Because of that, I rarely get enough time to open the curtain and enjoy some sunshine or a bit of quiet privacy like other people do.”

“The soundproofing is really bad. You can clearly hear the heavy footsteps from above, people moving around upstairs, and you also hear footsteps in the hallways and on the stairs.”
