“The kitchen is decent, and the appliances feel like good quality. That said, it definitely needs some work because a few parts are damaged. The hallway also needs fixing up. The room itself is fine and the fixtures are pretty decent, but there’s a section of the floor that’s sagging. The bathroom looks nice overall, but the flooring is poorly fitted and the pattern is pretty ugly. The sink is also a real hassle since it’s too small, which means water splashes everywhere. On top of that, the tap is too small as well. It drives me crazy every day, and sometimes I end up washing my hands in the shower instead.”

“The place is in a good location and it’s clean, but the noise is so loud you can’t really stay in the room. On top of that, the staff were rude and acted like they didn’t want to help.”

“Honestly, I’d say it could use even more study rooms or other facilities.”

“The staff are much better and seem to know how to do their jobs properly and quickly. For example, maintenance actually deals with key areas of the place like the lift, they take the bins out so the bin area doesn’t end up smelling bad every single day, and they genuinely understand how to fix things like the fire alarm.”

“Staying at Goldsmiths has honestly been a really positive experience for my first year at uni. The location is super convenient, since it’s really close to all the buildings. The accommodation is well set up and has everything you need, like washing machines and recycling bins. My room had all the basics too, including an en-suite, a 3/4 bed, heating, wardrobe space, and extra storage under the bed. The kitchen is also a great size and it has everything you need day to day. Overall, it’s a really good place to live and I’d absolutely recommend it to any first year student.”
