“The noise level and how they handle security issues when people complain.”

“The general upkeep of the flat and bedrooms is good, like repainting and sorting out any little problems. The wifi could be better though, because it sometimes drops out. Also, the buildings could use a bit of a face lift.”

“The beds are better, both the frame and the mattress, and the rooms feel more spacious too, with more wardrobe space. I also like that there’s a couch in every apartment, and it’s kind of set apart from the kitchen.”

“The bed is really not comfortable when you’re tall, especially for someone like me.”

“The only real downside was the showers. All eight of us in the apartment had some kind of problem with them during our stay. A few people were getting only cold water, and the maintenance team was quick to sort it out. But the moment one shower was fixed, a new problem would pop up on another one. It really felt like when one person got hot water, it somehow took it away from someone else who hadn’t had that issue in the first place.”

“Put a couch or some chairs in the hallway so it feels more like a shared space.”

“The price should be lower. It feels way too expensive, especially when you compare it to the flats in Uplands.”

“The room size and the beds were great. I also really liked having a bigger closet.”

“The mattresses feel like cheap travel ones, and they’re really rough on your back. This is something that absolutely needs to be fixed.”

“Maybe it’s the fact that the people you end up living with are on the same wavelength as you. It feels like the accommodation could do a bit more to make sure the residents who share similar views and temperaments are placed together in the same flat. Another downside I’ve noticed is that undergrads are grouped in with postgrads in what they call the “postgraduate area”, even though that’s what the contract says.”
