“They recently worked on the fire alarm system, and it’s caused a lot of disruption. Fire trucks have been showing up multiple times lately.”

“I’d say it’s mostly about getting rid of the rubbing. The population outside is higher because there are rats living around here in the garden area, plus there seem to be more events than before.”

“It feels like a much more social place.”

“The room was in good shape, and the maintenance was taken care of.”

“When I moved in, the bedroom was pretty grimy. There were marks all over the walls and the skirting board was broken. On top of that, our microwave didn’t work, so it feels like they could have paid a bit more attention to the details.”

“When I first got into my room, I was honestly shocked at how bad it looked. The walls had obvious cracks, and it was pretty clear the painting was rushed because you can see two different colors on the walls. The curtain and window were stained too, and there’s a random white mark on the window. On top of that, some of the kitchen appliances were already broken when we moved in, and the shower head holder was damaged and felt really flimsy. I at least expected a bit of care put into our space, and I really didn’t appreciate how neglected the rooms were.”

“I’d either relocate nearer to my university, or just stick where I am now and pay extra for an en-suite.”
