Honestly, I’m not sure how much the place can really be improved. The location is brilliant, and day to day there have never been any problems with cleanliness or getting things fixed. I’ve personally never had an issue like that, so I don’t think there’s much to change there. The only thing I can think of is recycling. That could be better. I don’t really think it’s down to the staff as much, more the students themselves, like their attitudes and how well they’re told what to do. The bin area is a lot better now that they’ve added netting, because before, there were times when things ended up outside the bin area. But I think that’s more to do with being in a city than anything to do with cleanliness, since the bins are emptied quite regularly.

I’ve been doing the evening room setup and changing the beds, mainly because they have a few buttons that end up hurting my back 😅 Also, the laundry machines have some dirt caught between the rubber seal and the machine, so they really need to be cleaned regularly.

Can you please lower the rent? Since this is for students, we simply can’t manage such a high rent.

The noise is bad, and the fridge and freezer sections are really small too. Honestly, the rent feels way over priced at 165 for next year. The shelves are so shallow you can barely fit a book on them, and the desk chair takes up way too much room, so I swapped it for my own. That was a huge improvement, my back doesn’t ache now, and it actually fits under the desk. The white kitchen chair is also really uncomfortable. The wifi isn’t reliable, so I just use my data instead. Getting to the wardrobe is awkward because the bedside table blocks it, and the bed itself is clunky. The springs feel poor quality, and I wouldn’t say it’s a good bed at all. Parking is basically nonexistent for residents, and visitors have very limited options. I’m constantly being woken up by noise coming from under my window, from the rooms next door, and even from across the way. The security staff sometimes struggle to speak English, so when I can’t understand them I end up feeling anxious. Also, the phone number showed up as invalid when I tried to call. Other than all that, the management team are lovely. The biggest issue is the rent. It really needs to come down because it’s so overpriced. It makes it hard to stretch my maintenance grant, pay my bills, and still have enough to eat. Going from 121 per week one year to 165 is outrageous.

They cleaned it much more thoroughly before we moved in.

The heaters should be simpler to operate, and the windows really ought to be wider. A bed set can also be arranged.
