“Much better laundry and facilities overall. That said, they really need to keep up with more regular maintenance, because the clothes do not always come out smelling fresh or properly dry. With the humidity in the rooms, hanging things on an airer is not always a realistic option. Also, the machines sometimes smell a bit, likely from heavy use, so a proper deep clean every so often would make a big difference.”
“The bathrooms and the kitchen are pretty good, though the Wi-Fi connection can be hit or miss sometimes.”
“Add more door locks for each apartment, because they get really loud when you close them.”
“I’m a first-year student and I moved into a flat with master’s students. I just felt a bit out of place around my flatmates since they’re all older than me, and honestly I don’t think it was a very fair mix of people. The en-suite also needs some improvements. On top of that, I’m in a “preview flat,” which isn’t great because I wasn’t given the option to refuse it.”
“From my own experience, I’ve found the place to be really comfortable, and it’s also made it easier to meet people. I get along well with my flatmates, and I’ve ended up making lifelong friends, which honestly made settling in a lot smoother for me, since I found it quite tough at times.”
“There’s better guidance for what’s going on, especially around the events and activities at the place.”
“Please double check that the recycling bins are in good working order, and that the bins underneath the desks don’t have any holes, since the bag could tear.”
“It feels like the kitchen inspection should’ve been kicked off at the beginning of the year, just so the other flatmates would’ve been motivated to keep things tidy sooner.”
“They should do a better job checking everything before people move in. The rooms also need better organization. Overall, the place could look a bit better too.”
