“The heater is way better, and the kitchen feels like it has so much more room now.”
“I’d definitely upgrade the oven. Honestly, it feels like it needs to be replaced because the dials are all worn out, and there aren’t proper shelves for the trays. There’s basically only one shelf inside the oven, plus one in that small grill area on top. It’s barely enough for about five people to use at once. So yeah, the oven is really old and it should be replaced.”
“Noise problems: my room is right by the kitchen, so I can hear everything going on in there, plus I also hear the noise from the people upstairs. I’ve submitted several complaints, but it hasn’t been fixed and the issue keeps happening. On top of that, everyone in the ground-floor flat can hear the sounds when people come into the building, especially when they get back from parties drunk and loud.”
“Honestly, if there was anything that could be done about the noise coming from outside the building, especially with football going on late in the evening and people shouting outside after a certain hour.”
“You can use it for the common room anytime, since societies can grab it regularly.”
“Stricter rules for smoking in the area”
“The biggest thing that needs to get better is how clean the shared spaces are. At William Murdoch, for instance, the communal bathrooms are always in a really gross condition, and it’s been going on for years. If they stepped up and did more frequent, proper cleaning, it would make a noticeable difference.”
“They’re quicker to respond when problems come up. Plus, the rooms are in better shape when you move in, which means there are fewer issues to deal with later and anything that does pop up can be handled and fixed.”
“I can adjust the heating settings.”
