The cupboard is much better designed and everything is stored more neatly overall.

Cleanliness is decent, and I picked this place mostly because of the location, so I really can’t complain about that. But I do think the kitchen could be a lot cleaner. It’s 238 per week now, up from 161, and the cleaning shouldn’t just be something that happens once a week. It needs to be better than it is.

The condition of the rooms is really poor. They look run-down, and the upkeep feels unreliable at best.

Laundry facilities are better here and cost less too.

Cut back the trees right outside the window so more light can come in.

Yeah, I feel like it really comes down to whether the place feels safe, welcoming, and kind of like home. I would definitely add plants. Plants are such a nice way to bring a bit of nature into the space, and they make everything feel more comfortable and calm. I’d also make it a point to have plants on every floor, especially by the windows. And downstairs too, so there’s something living in the space that can totally change the vibe and the energy of the room. Another thing I’d like to see is some kind of communal way for people to get to know each other who are also living there. I’m not sure exactly how they could set it up, but it would help a lot with feeling at ease living with people from different parts of the world. Maybe something like a cultural day or a heritage day, where residents can share who they are with the other people in the accommodation.

I feel like there aren’t enough washing machines for how many residents there are. I’d really appreciate it if the common room stayed open later, and having a few events on site would be great too.

I’d really like a better washing machine, because something always seems to go wrong with it.

Actually make the thermostat work.
