“My place has really strong internet, and I have never had any problems with it. The study area is honestly better than I expected, too, because it’s spacious and can fit a lot of people. My bedroom is also in good condition, and my bathroom was definitely worth the extra cost. The kitchen is quite big for the fact that I only share it with five other people, and the cleaning service is really helpful. Overall, I think the location is excellent, and I’m genuinely glad I chose this accommodation. The only thing is that I wish it was a bit more affordable.”

“I think they could run more events during Freshers to get people talking across the different flats, since that part mostly ends up being down to us, which I get. That said, the accommodation setup feels less social than other places, and I feel like having more events would push people into the shared spaces like the common areas, especially around Freshers, so you can meet more people. Also, most of the events seemed to happen after Freshers, so it may not suit everyone.”

“We needed more cupboard space in the kitchen.”

“I wish there were more bins, because sometimes the rubbish ends up overflowing. Also, at times the cleaners don’t really clean the kitchens properly.”

“Please lower the rent because we end up paying quite a bit for extra amenities, like the laundry and cleaning equipment.”

“I just wish the room had better soundproofing.”

“More than half of the washer and dryer machines are usually broken. And even if they all worked, there still wouldn’t be enough machines for how many students there are. Also, the heating system is really poor. It isn’t technically “broken,” so they can’t just fix it. It basically shuts off after a few seconds of heating, and I end up waking up freezing in the middle of the night. That is not how a heater is supposed to work.”

“It really feels like there’s more of a community here, with events that help people fight loneliness.”

“The sink seems to clog up at least once a week.”

“I wish there were more social events or chances to connect with the rest of the building.”
