“The place clearly needs a huge refresh and a proper clean. Honestly, there were so many issues that should have been sorted out before I even got there, like broken windows, lights not working, sinks and plumbing problems, and mould in the bathrooms. The rooms were also not clean, and there were plenty more things wrong on top of that.”

“The noise coming from outside the building”

“In the kitchen, the electrics don’t usually live up to what you’d expect. We end up needing to go to the fuse box in the hallway just to get the appliances working again, and it really throws off the whole cooking routine. On top of that, the recycling bins are way too small. They often end up overflowing within two days of collection, and it’s not like the residents are doing anything wrong.”

“Make things more secure. During COVID, they didn’t actually check people at the door.”

“I didn’t want to live in a flat with two other international students because it gets really lonely.”

“There should be more washing machines in the laundry room.”

“My room is on the inside of the building, so it doesn’t get much sunlight, and other students can pretty much see right in. Since it’s on the first floor, bugs get in all the time too. There’s also not a lot of room to actually move around. Overall, I just think it could be a bit more modern.”
