Getting to live here for the full three years of my studies.

I’d like you to create an en-suite bathroom in the bedrooms where the current wardrobe is. The wardrobe can be relocated to make that work.

We ended up needing more than one shower for the six of us.

I really struggle without an en-suite room. On top of that, it’s difficult getting to other parts in the evening since the transport links aren’t great. There are no buses after 7pm.

So it feels less shut off and more friendly.

Just like other student housing across the UK that does routine cleaning of shared spaces such as bathrooms and the kitchen, it’s something you should expect. That said, the heat detectors on the hobs feel really poor. They’re overly sensitive and can be pretty annoying at times. Also, when people raise complaints out loud, they’re often ignored. Picking up parcels is a headache too, because it takes ages to get told they’ve arrived. Finally, there aren’t any events or activities to help students meet and interact with each other.

I feel like there should be more of a sense of community between the different flats in the accommodation. From my point of view, not many flats seem to know each other. It would help if social events were organized for the Hollies right from the beginning.

If students in the same course are able to spend time together, it really helps create a feeling of connection and similarity.

I’m on the ground level, and at night I can usually hear people moving around overhead. They’re not doing it on purpose or anything, but there should be a way to cut down the noise a bit.
