Honestly, I don’t see anything that would suggest Camila lives here. As long as you’ve been doing what you’re doing, it’s fine. It can be a little hard to make friends at first, but if you keep at it, you’ll end up finding people.

Getting help in person can sort out some problems and get you the details quicker than online support. If it doesn’t work out, students can still send an email like they normally would.

The place just doesn’t have enough heat, and the internet is awful. There also isn’t much of a community vibe or anything fun to do. On top of that, people keep taking each other’s food all the time. It honestly feels like you’re living in a hostel with people who don’t know how to clean, and who have no problem taking someone else’s stuff.

When I arrived, the bathroom didn’t seem clean, and the sheets I was given had stains on them. I think each room should be cleaned more thoroughly before a new student checks in.

Bedroom size and the overall layout of the flat.

The kitchen layout could use some work. When two or three people are cooking at the same time, there’s basically no room to move around, and it’s hard to get to the fridge if someone is sitting at the table, because the space between everything is too tight.

It would be nice if laundry was either included for free or offered at a discount. Also, the dryer doesn’t really do a deep dry. We end up having to hang clothes to dry in the rooms again, and the rooms in the west building are just too small to dry things like thicker clothes or bed sheets.

Honestly, the security situation is really bad. It feels like they treat us like prisoners, and they are way too strict about visitors. I already reported a problem before, where someone who was not authorized to be on campus at the time followed me home and tried to attack me. The security team did not take it seriously at all. Instead, I was talked down to and basically mansplained, like I was just imagining things. UEL security really needs to focus on the actual risks and the areas that should be priorities.

I’ve been upgrading my heater because my room is always freezing.
