“I feel like the room could be a little bigger.”
“It’s a little too open in here. The walls feel like paper, and you can hear everything, so it’s really annoying for everyone. We can’t play music, and even using the kitchen at night isn’t really possible. Some better soundproofing would be really helpful!”
“I really wish we could adjust the temperature in our own rooms.”
“The room temperature.”
“I really hope the heating won’t be shut off during the day or overnight. I get why it’s set up to run only in the morning and at night, since that saves energy. But they say London winters can be brutally cold, and I’m in the room most of the time. So I’d like to be able to control the heating myself. Thanks.”
“I really hope the construction going on near the dorm doesn’t end up going through with the renovation work tomorrow morning.”
“Overall it looks pretty worn out.”
“I’d suggest taking up the carpet that's on the floor.”
“The girls I’m living with are really nice, but they’re all from Asia and they tend to hang out and talk mostly with each other. I’m from Canada, and I’ve been feeling pretty alone socially because it’s tough to keep a conversation going when we don’t really share the same interests. I think it would help if flats had students from a mix of countries so nobody feels isolated.”
“I can’t get the door to cut the voice.”
